Glad to be back playing Forza Motorsport 3 after a few weeks with Gran Turismo 5. FM3 just feels so much better than GT5.

@besweeet There’s no way it can differentiate between running from the disc or running from the HD.

@besweeet Yeah. Gaia Manager has a built in FTP server that works pretty well.

@besweeet That’s what the Lv2diag file is for. Put it on a flash drive all by itself, stick it in the right USB port, and reboot.

@besweeet If it works you’ll see “/app_home/PS3_GAME/” and “Install Package Files” under the Game menu.

@besweeet Yep, select the payload in the options section in the calc app, then unplug/replug power and do the power/eject boot.

@Boodlezoid Yes, because a MacBook can hold TBs of files. Also, FTP is even slower with lots of little files as opposed to a few large ones.

@Boodlezoid Anyway, two transfers with USB 2.0 is still likely to be faster than a network unless you’re on Gigabit Ethernet the whole way.

@Boodlezoid Why is speed such a big deal? Setting up an FTP server is overkill for just moving some files around.
